Janet Bigham Bernstel is a financial journalist who has been reporting and writing for nearly two decades. She is the co-author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Making Money in the New Millennium; Teach Yourself Personal Finance in 24 Hours and the newly published Ten Minute Guide to Getting Organized (for Business Managers).

Bernstel writes a nationally syndicated personal finance column entitled Janet Talks Money. She also instructs personal finance courses for the online learning community, SmartPlanet.com. She was most recently the Managing Editor of the Women’s Financial Network, (WFN.com). Previously, she was the Managing Editor for MoneyWhiz on the Personal Finance channel of America Online. During that time, she also developed theWhiz.com, a financial web site for young adults that launched in the summer of 1998. She graduated cum laude from Temple University in Philadelphia.
